About Nikki
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the state of Nevada. Essentially, this means I have completed my Master of Arts in Social Work and supervised clinical hours to be able to assess and treat mental health concerns. Throughout my career I have invested my time in practicing client-centered therapy, being an agency field instructor for the social work program at UNLV, and training and supporting other therapists within the community.
My therapeutic goal is to ensure all of my clients feel heard and seen to be able to help them reach their goals. Through collaboration, I assist my clients in identifying feelings, and support them in finding awareness and connection to how experiences they've faced have created patterns and barriers to healing/ finding peace. From there we will explore new perspectives which can lead to growth and positive change.
As a Las Vegas native I am familiar with the city's unique culture and subsections of cultural pockets within its various communities (social institutions, hospitality/ F&B industry, etc.). As a first generation Asian American, I am also familiar with how the impact of generational and cultural differences/expectations can have on individuals.
